Kalagai curry Today, we're going to prepare a special dish, brad's cheese fried fish. This time, I'm gonna make it a bit tasty. I wanted to share this video of our family fish fry! You can cook Kalagai curry using 20 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Kalagai curry

  1. Prepare of The order of veggies is as follows.
  2. Prepare 10 of Gherkins.
  3. Prepare 100 gm of Suran.
  4. Prepare 10 of cluster beans.
  5. You need 100 gm of Ridge gourd.
  6. It's As needed of gourd bottle.
  7. You need As needed of pointed gourd.
  8. You need As needed of spinach chopped one medium size bowl.
  9. You need 80 gm of Tamarind.
  10. You need 150 gm of coriander.
  11. Prepare 6 of red chillies.
  12. You need 1/2 cup of Moong dal.
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp of salt.
  14. Prepare 4 of cloves.
  15. It's 1/2 cup of jeera / cumin.
  16. It's 2 of garlic cloves.
  17. It's 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  18. It's 100 ml of cooking oil.
  19. You need 2 tbsp of poppy seeds.
  20. Prepare 1 tbsp of fenugreek seeds.

Kalagai curry step by step

  1. First wash the veggies with water and chop the chosen vegetables in to medium size pieces unlike for regular curry ie not too small nor too big.keep them aside..
  2. Soak the tamarind in a bowl for 15 minutes.
  3. Now, take a frying pan place it on the stove and prepare masala powder for the dish. they must be fried on high to medium simmer. Now coriander, redchillies, cloves, moong dal, garlic cloves, jeera all these ingredients must be fried well until a good smell is observed,you can turn on low simmer in between but finally it must be fried well. switch off the stove and let it cool for 10 minutes. After 10 to 15 minutes they must be grinded to fine powder.
  4. Now take a vessel ie cooking pan.Place the cooking oil and let it get heated,after oil got heated put the poppy seeds, fenugreek seeds and medium size chopped veggies in to cooking pan and fry them to loose rawness. close the lid for 10 seconds.
  5. Open the lid and then put the finely grinded in to powder ingredient into it and mix well..
  6. Add the tamarind water in to it and mix again. put salt to it as well. This content should be cooked by adding less amount of water in steps. It would take nearly 20 min to cook the veggies properly..
  7. Finally,this dish is ready to serve with rotis,vada or can be taken to taste individually..
